Ring in the New Year with lips that POP
2012 beauty and fashion designers introduced us to vast array of exciting color from daring to neutral and bold to beautiful. I loved many of the color launches this year. This was the year of the lip, soft, sassy and sexy.
“Whenever a female takes a strong stand for herself, the majority of the time they have to really, really narrow it down to being feminine and wearing dresses and just being lipstick chic. -Michelle Rodriguez”
Here are the lip color launches that topped my list:
Sisley Phyto Lipgloss ($55) launched in October. These fabulous glosses add a great kick of shine. They glosses glide on smooth, feel luxurious with 7 color choices. What I love the most about Sisley Phyto Lipgloss is they are not sticky and contain moisturizer to soften and nourish your lips.
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick ($32.50) – Chanel finally introduced a collection of matte lipsticks. I’m a fan of Chanel makeup. Their products are simply beautiful. My favorite feature of this lip collection is they are matte but are not dry and the colors have great pigment. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick really wears well. This collection is in 11 gorgeous shades. I am complimented every time I wear this lipstick in L’Impatiente, a rich, deep plum color.
Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Glosses ($16) – If you love Benefit Powders, you will certainly love these glosses. Never tried Benefit makeup? What are you waiting for? Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss is available in 6 sensational shades from Dallas to Sugarbomb with high shine, great color and ease of application.
Look for more sensational color in 2013.
Color Trend: POPPY, not orange, not red, but something beautiful in between.
Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro #401 Tibetan Orange ($32)
CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipcolor Flame ($8)
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick Raven ($28)
